Refund policy

Scope

This policy applies to advisory engagements for app analytics related to data pipeline quality (baselines, blueprints, incident rebuilds, and retainers). We do not sell physical products, software licences, or self-serve subscriptions on this site.

Eligibility and timeframe

If you cancel in writing before kickoff and before any discovery session, we refund 100% of fees already paid for that engagement within fourteen (14) business days.

After kickoff, refunds reflect uncompleted work only. Completed discovery days, delivered inventories, and accepted drafts are non-refundable.

Full and partial refunds

Full refunds apply when we cancel an engagement for reasons other than your breach, or when you cancel before kickoff as above. Partial refunds equal prepaid fees minus the value of work already delivered at the rates in your proposal.

Non-refundable items

• Completed baseline inventories and gap reports
• Delivered freshness catalogues and memos
• Incident rebuild deliverables already shared
• Retainer months already started
• Third-party costs approved in writing (for example, booked travel to your site)

Deposits

Where a proposal requires a deposit to reserve start dates, the deposit is credited toward the engagement. Deposits become non-refundable once discovery begins.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule a kickoff once with at least five business days’ notice at no charge. Later changes may shift fees for reserved time. Cancellations after kickoff follow the partial-refund rules above.

No-shows and work already started

If your stewards miss scheduled path walks without 48 hours’ notice, that session counts as delivered time. Work already started—drafts in review, interviews held—is billed even if you pause the engagement.

Purchased materials

We rarely purchase materials for clients. If a proposal includes approved materials, those costs are non-refundable once ordered.

Refund process and method

Email hello@dataengcloud.digital with your proposal reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days. Approved refunds return via the original payment method within fourteen business days of confirmation.

Exceptions

Statutory rights that cannot be waived remain available. Retainers renew monthly after the minimum term unless cancelled with fourteen days’ notice before the next billing date; unused future months are refundable, the current month is not.
